Prize of Leipzig Book Fair 2020 goes to Lutz Seiler and Bettina Hitzer

The jury of the Leipzig Book Fair Prize 2020 has awarded Lutz Seiler and his latest novel STERN 111 (Suhrkamp), a novel he partly wrote in Stockholm where he lives with his wife half of the year. His novel KRUSO for which Seiler received the German Book Award in 2014 counts among the must-reads in contemporary German literature.

In the category non-fiction, the Leipzig Book Fair Prize 2020 went to Bettina Hitzer and her book ONCOMOTIONS. THE HISTORY OF CANCER AND EMOTIONS IN THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (Klett-Cotta) which examines the relationship of cancer and emotions and how their interaction revolutionized medicine.
